Media Center Guide
Library Hours: 7:45 a.m.
- 3:10 p.m. Monday - Friday
MHS
media center offers students and staff all of the following materials and
services:
1.
An easy to use computerized catalog and circulation system
-
Most library
materials circulate for 3 weeks and may be renewed if necessary.
Some reference materials may be borrowed overnight. These may be taken
out at the end of the school day and must be returned before Period 1 of
the next day.

Fines
are charged for overdue materials and average 3 cents per day. Overnight
materials have fines of 25 cents per day.

All library
materials should be returned to the book drop at the circulation desk or
to the book bin located outside the library near the cafeteria.

Interlibrary
loans: MHS library participates in a regional library network. If
the materials you need are not available in our school, we will try to
borrow them for you from another library.

Individual
and class instruction and reference help

Space
for large classes, small groups, and individual study
-
A pass
from a teacher is required for admittance to the library during class periods.
-
Students
with a pass may come to the library to study from A lunch. Get a
library pass ahead of time if you wish to leave the cafeteria.
-
No food
or beverages allowed in the library!
-
Backpacks
must be left on the shelves near the entrance to the library.
